Crystallized ginger review

When your child is holding his belly and looking at you with tears in his eyes and saying, "mom, my belly hurts" ,every parent wants to be able to take that pain away. I have found something that I find very helpful and seems to always work for my child. It is Crystalized Ginger. If you have never heard of this it is simply ginger root which has been dried and preserved with a sugar coating. Research suggests that ginger can help with nausea associated with morning sickness or nausea associated with chemotherapy treatment. It is also known to help with sea sickness. It is the same concept as using Ginger ale to help with an upset stomach however from my own experience the crystalized ginger works far better. It looks like candy but it is actually quite spicy so if you or your child has never tried it I suggest trying a very small piece. I am not a ginger fan so I do not care for this at all, however my child and others I know absolutely love it. You can put this in tea or other recipes if you like it. For my six year old who seems to get pretty bad belly aches it is almost like a miracle cure. This morning he was crying in pain and holding his stomach and after he had the crystallized ginger it was almost instant relief. I now always keep this on hand in my home, and some in my purse in case a belly ache occurs. It may not work for every child and I'm quiet certain not every child will like the taste but its worth a try. Oral B Glide pro heath floss review

To some people floss probably is neither here nor there however if your teeth are tight it can be hard to floss without breaking the floss which then gets stuck in your teeth. Well I'm one of those people and when I go to the dentist the worst part of a cleaning for me is the flossing. If this sounds like you let me tell you about the greatest invention ever, Oral B Glide pro health is simply the best product ever. Basically they take a floss and make it a little wider and put a coating on it that makes it glide in between the tightest teeth, hence the name Glide! There are other brands that make a similar product but for me this is the hands down winner. (And for me it has to be the cool mint)Keep in mind flossing affects your heart health and prevents bad breath. This product is slightly more expensive than some of the other flosses, however I buy it when it is on sale and I stock up. Clinique stop signs eye review

I'm on a quest to find the do all end all eye cream. So a friend gave me Clinique stop signs to try and I have been using about 3 weeks now. While I cannot say it is the mother of all eye creams, I will say it is a good product and I like it. First of all it has a light scent that reminds me of coconuts which I really happen to love, if you aren't into scents its probably not right for you. Second when it goes on it almost leaves a white glow behind which really gives eyes a wake up look. Last I've been doing this little trick at the end of the days when my eyes and makeup are looking tired, I dab a bit under each eye over the existing makeup and it really gives me a subtle glow which I like. As I said, I didn't find this to be a game changer but I would say I do like and would continue to use.

Canon Rebel T3 review

I bought my Canon Rebel T3 almost two years ago and I only wish I had bought it sooner. The reason I chose this camera was I asked a professional photographer what was a good starting DSLR camera that takes awesome pictures and wasn't too expensive. On her suggestion I purchases the Rebel T3 which was about $500 and it came with a lense and a bag. I since purchased a zoom lense which I think is a must have. I wont get technical about what this camera offers as you can do your own research in case you are looking for specific features. What I will say is this camera is extremely easy to use and I think it takes amazing pictures. I only wish I had bought this when my first son was born and not waited until he was eight, don't make my mistake, it is so worth the investment. There are many great cameras out there and you can pay a fortune. I think for the price point the Canon Rebel T3 is a tremendous product and I love the pictures it takes. Rusk w8less hairspray review

If you have never tried rusk w8less hairspray I highly recommend it. I've been using this for a long time now and I love it. If you are looking for something heavy that makes your hair untouchable but it doesn't move then this is not for you. This product is exactly as its name says w8less, as in it is like having nothing on your hair, yet it manages to provide hold.(how do they do that?) Anyway the real reason I started using it was because a friend of mine was using it and I loved the smell,(thought she had a new perfume but it was her hairspray) I don't know how to describe the smell other than it almost has a masculine smell but in a good way if that makes sense. Guess this would be a good product for men as well. This is a must have for me, it is a bit more expensive at about $17 in the hair salon or drug stores but you can find it cheaper at amazon so I enclosed a link. Lucky Brand Jeans review

I have a hell of a time finding jeans that I love, but don't we all. Well I recently bought a pair of Lucky jeans,(they used to be called sweet and low but now they are just sweet. I got bootcut.) Well first I would like to say my experience in the Lucky store was awesome, two really cool sales clerks that all but bent over backwards for me. I don't like to be overwhelmed with sales people but its nice when someone knows the product and is there to grab you a different size. So these jeans are a little pricey at $120 but they are made really well and the material is super soft and comfy. The fit of these is absolutely perfect and when I sit or bend my ass crack isn't hanging out. My point is they are low on waist, but not too low. I've worn and washed a few times and they wash well and they still feel great. I'm a fan and to me they were worth the money. Also my neighbor got her husband a pair of mens and they look awesome and he was very happy with them as well. If the price is too high check out ebay and you can pick up a used pair for less.

Garnier Skin renew anti dark circle roller reviw

Let me say I'm a huge Garnier fan and I have been for awhile. That being said I'm not a fan of the Garnier skin renew anti dark circle roller. I think what I didn't like about it is the roller aspect. I didn't like the way it felt to roll this under my eye and it was very hard to control how much goes where. Also quiet difficult to get in the corners above your nose. I think anything that goes on the very sensitive skin under and around the eyes should be applied carefully with your ring finger. As for the product itself it just didn't wow me like so many of their products do. I used this once or twice and it is going in the trash. Sorry Garnier, but I still love you. Share your experience with this product.

Almay wake up concealer review

I really would rather write about products I like but I also hate to see people buy something that I don't consider to be very good. Let me start by saying that concealers are the beauty product that is most challenging for me, as it seems very hard to get color and consistency right. With all that being said I have to say I didn't care for the Almay wake up concealer. The number one reason I don't like this is the way it is packaged. It comes in a tube with a brush that you have to squeeze to get the product out and every time I tried to use it way too much came out, so I was spending more time cleaning it up. As for actually concealing it just didn't work for me. This product is now taking up space in my make up bag until I decide to get over the fact I spent money on something I need to throw away. Please let me know if you have tried this product and what you think of it.

Jergens Natural Glow + firming daily moisutizer review

I am in love! This product goes into a special category I call game changers. Let me start by saying I have used Jergens self tanners and others in the past, my biggest complaint wasn't streaks or orange fingers, but that god awful smell they all seem to have. Well those days are over my friends, Jergens products no longer have the smell and they even put something on all their new products which reads "finally great color without odor! So I'm guessing I wasn't the only one who hated the sunless tanner smell. Let me say it does still have a light fragrance but it is subtle and quite nice. However it isn't unscented and you might want to take a sniff in the store before you buy it. This product goes on like their other ones, its easy to apply and easy to rub in so you aren't streaky. I saw a difference immediately after one application but it was a subtle glow, the color increases the more you use it. I think it is a very natural glow as the name suggests it will be. As if all that isn't enough this is also a firming lotion promising to reduce the appearance of cellulite in as little to seven days. I would say that is absolutely the case as I think tanners or having a tan always seems to reduce the look of cellulite,(that has been my experience). Jergens Natural Glow has constantly won the allure award and I think they will continue to. This product retails for about eight dollars, it is always on sale at CVS, and I always see coupons in the paper for it. I love everything about Amazon. I love that there isn't much you cant find on Amazon. I love reading the reviews of other customers before I purchase things.(I have spent hours at a time reading customer reviews). I love that with one click I can place an order and I don't have to get my credit card out. I love that their products ship quickly and they have a no hassle return policy so if you aren't happy with your purchase you can send it back. I love that if you have an account you can track all your purchases or cancel orders after you place it if you change your mind. I love that they offer free shipping if you spend over $25 on most things. I love that you can buy used if you choose. I love the book reviews so you can try to figure out if you really want to purchase, or maybe you just want to go to the library and borrow that book. Alba coconut cream lip balm review

I'm a self proclaimed lip balm addict,(add it to the other addictions like wine, chocolate, cheese, Porn). Anyway my true preference is coconut lip balm because I love all things coconut, so I'm always searching for coconut lip balm and when I find them I usually buy them in bulk as any true addict would. I came across Alba coconut cream on Ebay and I bought five for about five bucks. I get so excited when things I'm dying to try show up in the mail. I tore open the bag and couldn't wait to get it on my lips. First let me say I'm not all the picky about lip balms but I'm not a fan if they have SPF because often it leaves a bad taste in mouth.(check out my review of Hive lip balm, different post). Well here is where I keep it real, I didn't like this product. It isn't really coconut to me, I don't like the texture, and I don't like the taste it leaves behind. I guess I didn't like anything about this product which really bummed me out. Don't get me wrong, I will use it in a pinch but I just don't like it. You win some you lose some. Neutrogena Healthy Skin anti wrinkle cream review

So here is another allure winner and a great product. I have been really happy with Neutrogena lately, one great product after another. So I bought this product because it has retinol in it and it has an SPF, I need both in my day moisturizer. This product is light and non greasy and is great under make up. It has no scent to it which many with SPF have so that was a plus and it actually feels weightless to me. I see a radiance in my skin after I apply it, and really that is the goal. I haven't been in the sun yet so I cant say how well the SPF holds up. I really like this product and can certainly see why it got the allure award, I'm slowly trying all the allure products and finding they don't miss. Great Lash Mascara royal blue review

Great Lash Mascara is truly one of the greats. This stuff has won the allure award and I never see a bad review about it. A six dollar mascara that is a complete powerhouse in the industry. Well I recently read something that said if you want to make the whites in your eyes look even whiter, try a blue mascara. I'm really not even a huge mascara fan so the thought of putting blue mascara on was downright alarming. But hey what the heck, I will try anything that makes me prettier so why not. So I opted to buy Great Lash in royal blue because I know the product will be good but I'm really not sure what to expect of the color royal blue. Well I will be honest, the color was a bit shocking,(very bright). Against my better judgment I put it on and used my lash curler and put on another coat. First let me say Great Lash makes a mascara I really like, there is no gloppy stuff with this, you seem to get the perfect amount on the wand and it isn't all over the place like some. So back to the color, surprisingly I like it and you really cant tell that it is a bright blue, it shows up on my lashes as just a hint of color. I'm a fan and I will use it. As far as making my eyes whiter, well I don't see a difference but I'm liking the blue anyway. This is an inexpensive mascara for around $6 in drugstores and I saw it even cheaper on Amazon. Physicians formula bronzer review (Shimmer Strips)

So the last bronzer I bought was at Sephora and I cant recall the brand but it was pricey at $30 and I didn't like it. I ended up returning it. So I have been on the hunt for a good bronzer and I keep seeing good reviews of Physicians Formula, so I decided to try their latest Shimmer Strips (Vegas Strip/ light Bronzer). It retails for $14 at CVS, and it happened to be on sale and I had a coupon so I was able to get it for a whopping five dollars,(love when that happens). Anyway as you can see in the photo it has strips of different colors that when applied with a brush all mix together in a bronzing shimmery harmony. It goes on real nice and you don't see the individual colors, it just give a nice, subtle bronzing affect. (Its good, I really like it). Some bronzers are overwhelming but this one is not at all. What I also like is you can use a small eye brush and use the colors from the strips on your eyes and it compliments the shades on your face. I really like this product and I will continue to use it. tria 4x hair removal laser review

I think an at home laser that can be purchased for about $450 and removes hair permanently is pure genius. That being said the big question is does it work? Well the short and skinny is for me and my experience, yes it absolutely has. Now for the details, prior to the 4x tria coming out I had purchased the regular tria laser, which I used faithfully for about two and a half months. The regular Tria was not approved for the face which is why I upgraded to the 4x, and also I am told the 4x has more juice.(meaning it should take less treatments to get rid of hair) So I had done expensive office visits in the past which did not eliminate the hair permanently and they are quite painful to boot, the good news is the Tria costs less than one in office session, bad news is the Tria is painful too.(I'm just keeping it real). Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Push up review

I think when Victoria's Secret came out with the miracle bra they changed lives,(mine included). I have been buying these bras for many years and watched them evolve. First let me say I have never bought a bra from VS that I didn't like, so I guess you could say I'm a big fan. My latest purchase was the Very Sexy push up. I bought it in nude and it has a little diamond in between the boobs that I just love. As usual they did not disappoint, I love, love, love, this bra. These bras give a smaller chested woman just the right amount of padding where I feel like it enhances my clothes and confidence but I don't think it is so much where it looks fake. Aside from the enhancing I have found that these bras are not only good quality but very comfortable as well. They retail for $45 and I think it is worth every last penny. I usually only buy about two a year. I can't say enough good things about this bra and if you have yet to try one I highly recommend giving one a try. Olay Regenerist night recovery cream review

So every night you are given a chance to repair for eight hours,(hopefully if not eight at least six). I love that feeling of taking off all the war paint and slathering my face with a good night cream. For me I like it to be heavy and I better be glistening once applied or I will feel like it isn't working. I have been using Olay Regenerist night recovery cream for about a month now and this stuff fits the bill of what I'm looking for in a night cream. It is thick and creamy with a light scent which is quite nice. I lather it on and I love the way it feels and makes my skin feel. My skin feels renewed in the morning. Garnier BB cream oil free review

So I was very excited when Garnier introduced their new BB cream which is now available oil free. I actually had been using the regular BB cream from Garnier which I liked very much, but my only complaint was it was a little heavy and I would be shiny after a few hours. Well I love the oil free version and I am no longer shiny. It goes on like a moisturizer and is quite light, if you are looking for major coverage this will not give you it. On the other hand if you are looking for light subtle coverage than this is going to wow the pants off you. I'm a huge Garnier fan and as usual they didn't disappoint. Sally Hansens hair remover wax strip kit

So how many of you are familiar with a Brazilian? No I'm not referring to someone from Brazil but I'm speaking of a process of hair removal from down below. Yes people actually pay big bucks to go in a salon and have someone rip the excess hair from their Netherlands, including between the butt cheeks. Call me crazy but I think some things we just need to do ourselves even if it requires some agility. I call my friend Sally Hansen for some help. I am a big fan of Sally Hansens wax strips and yes I use it down there. So basically the kit includes wax strips which can be cut to any size. I find them easy to manage if I cut them into smaller pieces. Before you apply the strip to the hair you want to remove you need to rub it between your fingers to warm the wax. You then apply it, hold skin taunt, and rip it off.(sounds worse than it is) These strips can be used anywhere on your body I just happen to use it for my cha cha area. Sometimes some of the wax gets on your body and in the kit they have a wax remover that will instantly remove the excess,(thank you lord). I've been using this product for many years and I really like it. I did try the drug store version of this and it is not the same and I will never use again. Some things are just not worth trying to save a buck. This product is quite reasonable at nine dollars. I tend to buy when they are buy one get one half off.

Gillette fusion razor review

Ok so I'm an everyday shaver, meaning I do the pits and legs everyday.(ugh) For me the extra five minutes is worth feeling smooth. Anyway I've had this routine for many years, and I remember when they first came out with the multiple blade razor, I thought it was a game changer. I'm pretty sure it was the mach 3 and it was awesome. However there is now the Gillette fusion with a whopping five blades and it makes the three blade razors seem wussy to me. Well I fell in love with the fusion the first time it touched my skin, this razor is no joke and leaves no hair behind. If five blades sounds dangerous of scary I will say in the years I've been using this product I've had very few nicks and they were all my own fault. So the only downside of this razor is the replacement blades are a little pricey however the blade lasts me forever and I've only replaced on the occasion I drop the razor and the blade breaks off. And I will also mention there are always coupons, and the drug stores constantly run specials on these. I personally will only use this razor at this point and I can't give it enough praise. Victoria Secret Fabulous Body mist review

Im a very big Victoria Secret fan as I think most ladies are. They had me at their first miracle bra and I've been wearing the latest version for as many years as they have made them,(phenomenal product for us less fortunate women). They also had me at their first scent Heavenly which was absolutely amazing and had the men going bonkers. As I've gotten older I have become very picky about scents and find so many to be over powering to the point it gives me a headache. So I was very surprised when I recently picked up Victoria Secrets new scent Fabulous, I put a bit on and I loved it, but Ive done that before and then been sick to my stomach after an hour. This one is different, its light, sexy, flirty, and feminine all at the same time. I ended up buying the body mist to be on the safe side because it is even lighter than the perfumes and you can apply as needed. This stuff makes me feel sexy when I put it on. Cool Sculpting review/ Zeltiq review

When I was thinking about doing cool sculpting I read all the reviews I could find. So if you are reading this and considering please know this is a completely honest review of my experience and if you have any questions please post a comment or email me and I promise I will reply as quickly as I can. So the more reviews I read the more nervous I got about going through with this procedure, there were many comments about excessive pain that lasted for weeks. First of all this is a fairly expensive procedure, I paid $1500 for my lower abdomen which seemed in line with what I had read. So aside from the pain and expense then there were the people who said they saw no difference what so ever after having this done, Yikes! Well I opted to go through with it anyway and this is how it went for me. First of all let me say I'm 5'7 and I weigh 125 pounds so most people would probably describe me as slim. Prior to having my two children I confidently would expose my stomach at any given chance. I never had the super flat stomach but it was a good stomach. After two kids I was left with a pooch that isn't going anywhere without plastic surgery or starvation. I work out and I watch what I eat so I was a very good candidate for this procedure. This is not for someone who is looking for easy weight loss. They say you can reduce the area you treat by 30 percent typically. So grab your fat roll and picture it about a third smaller, it really isn't a big difference. So when I went in the first thing the doctor did was grab my lower stomach to make sure I had enough fat to be a good candidate. I had enough,( boy is that a great feeling when someone is telling you that yes you absolutely have enough belly fat, NOT!) Then I undressed and was brought into a room with a nurse and the machine which basically freezes your fat. The nurse warned me that the first part where it sucks in your fat is the most startling and it may feel as though I cant breath but I will be able to,(thank god she told me that because that is what precisely happens). Once I realized I could breath I was quite uncomfortable but she told me once it froze which takes about four minutes, you really cant feel anything. She was right and although it is still a bit uncomfortable it really wasn't bad. Then you sit there and let the machine do its thing for about an hour, you can read or text or take a nap. When you are done she comes in and takes the machine off and your fat is basically frozen like a brick and they massage it for about a minute,(I didn't look because I really didn't want to see that). That's it and then they send you on your way. That night the area felt very strange, not painful, just strange like I had done something very foreign to my body,(which I had). This very strange feeling lasted about two weeks but lessoned every day. I NEVER experienced pain from this procedure like many of the horror stories I read about. Yes I was aware I had done something but nothing that warranted more than an advil. That being said we are all different and many many people said they did have pain so I can only speak from my experience. So now to what is the most important part, the results. First of all this is a slow gradual thing and it takes up to three months to see the full results, don't think you will go home and see a difference. Actually I felt swollen and bloated for about two weeks after I had this done. Anyway after three months which is what it has been for me I do see a difference, nothing major but probably exactly what they say, about thirty percent. If you are looking for dramatic change than this probably isn't for you. For me it is a slight difference but that slight change really makes me happy and YES I am pleased I did it and considering doing the love handles as well. New Balance Running sneakers review

So I'm a New Balance girl. Some people love Nike or Reebok but for me New Balance is the best. My last three pair of Sneakers have been New Balance and I can't say enough good about them. I started running two years ago and bought my first pair of running New Balance sneakers when I started doing 5k races. I wore that pair for over two years and probably put over a thousand miles on them. They say you are supposed to replace your sneakers like every six months to a year but I couldn't part with them and risk having something not feel comfortable, and besides even after all the wear they looked almost new.(Much of my running is done at the gym) Well I finally broke down and bought a new pair of bright turquoise ultra light New Balance because I loved the way they looked, not because the old pair gave out or anything. As with any of these running sneakers the price ranges from over a hundred to about forty. I paid forty for both pairs and think they are both fantastic for my needs. I have a long skinny foot with a high arch and New Balance just really works for my feet, big fan! Let me know if you love New Balance as much as I do.

Neutrogena pink grapefruit foaming scrub review

This product is simply the bomb! I started with the pink grapefruit cleanser which I reviewed in an earlier post and because that product was so amazing I had to try the foaming scrub. First let me say that these are marketed as acne washes which is why I hadn't ever tried them. I have an occasional blemish that ruins my life for a couple days but I've never had acne so I didn't think I needed an acne wash. Let me say first of all if you like the smell of grapefruit, which I really do, then you will love the scent of this product. The scrub in this product is like having your face exfoliated, I absolutely love it. My face feels so clean and looks radiant after using this product. They also make this in a body scrub which I'm dying to try because I have been using this on my body and it feels amazing. Since I started using this I have not had a single blemish so I'm sticking with it for sure. For this reason I really like Sephora, but there are other reasons as well. If you have ever been in a Sephora store it is like a candy store for women. They have makeup, skin care, fragrances galore, and other stuff like makeup brushes and the like. But the best part is everything is accessible so you can test the products and see if you like them. How many times have you wanted to see what a particular fragrance smells like but they are behind a glass or packaged up. At Sephora they are all on display and accessible for testing, I love this! Then there is all the high end make up, why would you want to spend a butt load of money on something you haven't tried, well at Sephora you can try it all. But if that isn't enough how about you buy it, use it and decide you hate it, you can bring it back because they have an awesome return policy. Bath and Body Sea Cotton triple moisture body cream real review

I am a scent person but I have found as I get older I like more subtle scents, I guess I don't want to know Im wearing it. The Sea Cotton triple moisture body cream has an amazingly clean scent that goes on like butter. I really love this stuff and love the scent, I love that once it is applied I don't know its there unless I smell my skin up close. If you are a fan of products that have a really clean smell I think you will like this. This product retails for 12.50 at bath and body which is pricey for a body cream however they always have some sort of promotion like buy 3 get two free which makes it come out to 7.50 which I think is well worth it. If you are wondering what you are going to do with 5 of these you can do as I do and keep a couple on hand for gifts. You can also try some of their other scents if you are someone who bores easily. Bobbi Brown creamy concealer kit review

So not only do I have some lovely bags under my eyes but you can also see the blue veins under my eyes as well. I have tried many concealers on my quest to cover my imperfections and what I have found is that the wrong concealer only accentuates and emphasizes my problem areas, until now. Ladies listen up and listen good, if you have been searching for a concealer that hides without emphasizing the search is over. The Bobbi Brown creamy concealer kit is a true game changer! It is rare that I fall in love with a product but this bad boy had me at hello. Ok so there are two parts to this which I don't usually like, but it is quick and easy and covers my blue veins. I actually spent 30 dollars on the Bobbi Brown concealer brush which I think was an awesome investment. I use her brush to apply the creamy concealer and then there is a highlighting powder that I use a different brush to apply. I don't feel like it sits in the fine lines like some concealers do, it just gives great coverage and the highlighting gives you a glow. A friend saw me and said my face looked like it had a radiant glow. I cant say enough about this product and would love to know if others love this as much as I do or maybe you think you found something even better, either way I would love to hear what you think.

Lancome Genifique eye cream real review

Ok so I don't like to buy the good stuff if Im not 100 percent sure the product works. This product retails for about $60 online or in department stores which I consider pricey. So I didn't spring for it but I did score a pretty good size sample at the Lancôme counter. Well let me just say Im one of those fortunate 41 year old who has bags under my eyes so Im on a mission to find the best eye cream, (or maybe a plastic surgeon). Anyway I have to say I liked the way it felt when it went on and I really had high hopes that this was the one but unfortunately I saw no real change in the three weeks Ive been using it. Now I know that isn't a lot of time but at that price I cant afford to wait months to see some sign of improvement. If you use this product and think it is gods gift to eyes please post and tell me if you think it is worth giving it more time but for me no change in three weeks makes me want to move on to the next. Please understand I don't mind paying a lot for a product that lives up to its claims but I think most of us need to see some improvement to stick with a product.
