Hive coconut lip balm review

My name is Laura and Im addicted to lip balm, thats how it goes at the meeting right? I have been addicted to lip balm for as long as I can remember. My best friend used to call it my crack. I have them hidden the way an asthmatic has inhalers. I will use anything when Im desperate but my absolute favorite is coconut flavored and you dont see them often. I have bought them in bulk in ebay when I have come across coconut. I had a friend recently come across Hive lip balm in coconut so she got it for me. First of all as a rule I generally dont like lip balms with sunscreen because I think they leave a funny after taste in your mouth so I try to always get one without. When I saw that the Hive had a 15 SPF I was pretty certain I wouldnt like it but to my surprise I really like this stuff. It goes on nice and gives lips a shine, and I do not notice any taste except for yummy coconut. Im not sure how much they are as I didnt buy it however when I went on their website all proceeds go to charities, I love that. Good product good company. Two thumbs up!

Magnesium supplement review

If you suffer from migraines I strongly suggest you read this review. I have been suffering with migraines since I was sixteen years old. I get migaines that start with an aura which is like being in your own personal light show. Whats actually happening is something in your head is going haywire and thats what it feels like. I started seeing a neurologist many years ago and he told me to start taking magnesium regularly. As many of us do I would take it when I got a headache and of course that isnt going to help. When I finally put it in my morning regimen of vitamins that is when I saw the difference, and it took at least a month before I really noticed. However I would say that by adding a 500 mg magnesium supplement to my daily routine I have cut my migraines in half, that is worth trying for sure. They say women tend to get deficent and it affects many different things from fatigue to weight gain. For me adding it was a game changer. I would love any input on this subject, please leave comments if you can add to this discussion. Click on link to order from Amazon and have delivered to your door. Neutrogena ageless intensives review

I bought this cream because I keep hearing you need to have a moisturizer with a retinol, and what I was currently using didnt have one. I have to say I love this product. It goes on very nicely and it is non greasy so it is perfect for me under a BB cream. It also has a 20 spf which Im hoping will hold up against the sun as well as my garnier day moisturizer that I had been using. I feel like it gave my skins appearance a boost immediately after applying which is the goal, right? This product is under twenty dollars at CVS and I always can find Neutrogena coupons. I give this a thumbs up for sure. Click the link to order from Amazon and have delivered to your door. Neutrogena Ageless intensives deep wrinkle moisture for skin, spf 20 - 1.4 oz

Tria laser review

OK ladies, so after waiting patiently for a personal hair removal laser to hit the market, I finally broke down and shelled out the $400 which it retails for and I can now become hair free in my own home. Can I get an amen? First let me start by saying yes four hundred is a lot of clams and who knows if it will even work, well Tria offers a 90 day money back guarantee and they even pay for shipping so you have nothing to lose,(except hair I'm hoping). So here is the deal, I have done very expensive in office treatments in the past so I'm familiar with lasers and the pain. I'm going to start by saying, if you have a low threshold for pain than this probably isn't for you. I have what I consider a high pain threshold and this sucker hurts. I'm being honest ladies, it hurts like a bitch if you have it on the highest setting. If you are still reading and think you can "man up" for vanity purposes than we speak the same language. OK so it is very easy to use, charge it, unlock it, choose a setting from one to five,(five being the mother load of pain), and you are now in business. You are supposed to use it twice a month and should be hair free by six months or so. OK so I've only owned it a month but I can already see a slow down in the hair growth. I'm still not endorsing this product 100 percent and I will continue to update this post but I do believe it is starting to work, but I am going to reiterate that it is painful. I've done my legs and armpits and kept it at 4 or 5 as I want the best results. I also want to say just after I purchased mine they came out with a newer version call the 4X which I think I may switch mine for. If any of you have used either I would love some thoughts. I will update with my results regularly as well. Looking forward to a hairless summer. This is an update, I did end up switching my product for the 4x before the 90 day return policy was up because I just had to have the best they offer. (I'm Italian and we are known for being hairy, no offense to my peeps but I speak the truth). Anyway prior to even getting it I noticed the hair under my arms had pretty much stopped growing, (there is a god) and the hair on my legs is slowly getting less and less so I'm fully supporting this product. I do want to reiterate the pain factor, It hurts to be beautiful is all I have to say. The other good thing about this new laser is that it is approved for use on face and bikini area and the other wasn't. For me the upper lip is tough because mine is fine hair and doesn't respond as well as the coarse hair. I will keep you posted on my progress and feel free to ask me any questions if you are thinking about purchasing this product. On this blog you will see I also have a post for the Tria 4x, please check it out to see further updates.

Wonder by R. J. Palacio review

I like to read chapter books to my eight and six year old. It is a ritual we have called our bed party to gather on my bed and read or talk or jump around like nuts. Recently we were looking for a book so we went on Amazon,(I love Amazon), just to find the book for their age which was voted the best. Well we came upon a book by R.J. Palacio called Wonder and I did not read what it was about I just went on reviews alone and I requested it from my local library. As I read a bit of it in the library I knew my boys were going to love it. I will only tell you it is about a profoundly deformed boy, and what he goes through. I think this book should be a must read elementary school book. To say my boys and I loved it would be a grave understatement. I actually reached out to the author to tell her how great her book was. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard back from her and my kids thought that was pretty cool. If you have a beating heart you will love this book. I would love comments from anyone who has.

Sally Hansen complete salon manicure review

Ok so Im not big on nail colors and I dont get manicures, however I absolutely cannot stand having naked nails. Mine get too dry and brittle if I dont keep something on them, which for me is usually a subtle pale which gives them a clean look. When I came across Sally Hansens complete salon manicure in a bottle I thought it was genious as now I didnt have to worry about a primer or a top coat. I thought eight dollars what a bit pricey for a drugstore poish but I really wanted to try their white shade which is called polar bear. Well ladies, this stuff lives up to its name and is worth the price. It goes on beautifully and looks professionally done. So in fairness let me say it is hard to mess up with whites so keep in mind colors may be trickier. I get many compliments on my polar bear shade when Im wearing it and I think it just gives nails a clean finished look. Takes about five mins to apply one coat which is usually all I need, dries quickly and lasts almosts a week if you arent abusing your hands. Im a fan Sally Hansen and I will continue to buy the polar bare color. Find in most drugstores or go to my favorite CVS, they always have sales on it and always have coupons.

Neutrogena pink grapefruit facial cleanser review

Ok so I didnt buy this product for a long time because it is an acne wash and I dont have acne so I guess the wording threw me. What they should call it is an awesome cleanser because that my friends is what this is. This is one of the best cleansers Ive used and if you like the smell of pink grapefruit as I do it is a homerun. If you listen to your derm they all recomend using a cleanser with salicylic acid which this has a good percentage of, it can be a bit drying but for my skin that can be good. I use this on my body as well because I love the smell. I rarely break out but my skin looks and feels radiant after I use this. It is about $10 in most drugstores and worth every penny. It also won the Allure award, for good reason, which I started using sooner.

Garnier Skin renew anti sun damage review

I wanted this product the second it came out because it had the words sun damage, and I am a big beach and sun fan. Well I got it as soon as it hit the market which was actually a few years ago now. As with every garnier product, it did not disappoint. I have to say day creams are funny for me and I have a really hard time finding one with a sunscreen which isnt too heavy. Well this was a saving grace for me, it wasnt too heavy and it didnt have the yucky sunscreen smell they often have. But the biggest surprise in this product was that the 28 SPF sunscreen lasts all day at the beach for me, and I can go for eight hours at a shot. Im very cautious with my face getting sun because I hyperpigment quite easy, hence me wanting the anti sun damage product, anyway I noticed right away that if I had this on my face it is like having a layer of armour against the sun. And I am talking about wearing just this with not other sunscreen. That alone makes this a fantastic product but to boot it goes on light and works well under make up. And this product is about ten dollars in most drugstores, and you can always find coupons for garnier. Love, Love, Love this product.

Garnier BB Cream review

Im a huge Garnier fan, Ive tried many of their products and have never been disappointed or brought anything back. When they came out with a BB cream I was like a kid going to get a new toy, super excited to say the least. It sells for about $14 at most drug stores and they always have coupons for it to boot. Well I ran to CVS and got it and ladies this stuff does not disappoint, it is light and goes on like a cream but gives great coverage and also gives your skin a radiant glow. Now if you need alot of coverage this isnt for you but if you just need a little coverage to even out skin tone and give you a glow I think that you will like this alot. I tried and reviewed Smashbox BB which is much pricier selling for $39 at Sephora, and I did not like it at all. I will be trying others as well. Great job Garnier!

Smashbox Camera ready BB cream review

OK so here is a perfect example of a product I bought based on the high number of great reviews that just doesnt work for me at all. First of all if Im going to spend 39 dollars for a BB cream it better give me super model skin. Well here is what I found, I have used other BB creams that I like very much and what I like about BB is that opposed to a foundation they should be light with a sheer coverage. This product is very thick and heavy which made it hard to apply evenly, I found it heavier than any foundation I ever used and felt it looked like I was wearing too much makeup. To me that is the opposite of what a BB should do. I also found that I bought the shade light/med and the shade was far too dark. Well it is going back and I will stick to my fourteen dollar Garnier which I will post next. This product was a big disappointment to me and overpriced to boot.
